The heavy-hitting roster at the absolute top of the bill does not stop there. Joining them are enduring favorites and contemporary icons alike, including The Chemical Brothers, Doechii, Fontaines D.C., FKA twigs, Hayley Williams, Bad Gyal, Lola Young, Adéla, and Prospa. Furthermore, an impressive cohort of celebrated indie and alternative acts—such as Pavement, Tinashe, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard—are booked slightly further down the main listings, ensuring that every corner of the sprawling festival grounds will cater to a deeply discerning musical palette.

The 2027 edition of Primavera Sound is scheduled to kick off with its traditional, vibrant opening parties on the evening of Wednesday, June 2. Following the opening festivities, the main weekend performances will get underway the very next day, running continuously through Saturday, June 5, before culminating in a massive wind-down.

Beneath the already stellar headline slate, the festival’s second billing is remarkably packed, showcasing a rich tapestry of influential greats, boundary-pushing innovators, and critical darlings. Music legends and avant-garde pioneers scheduled to perform include Anohni, Underworld, Dinosaur Jr., Vashti Bunyan, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Converge, Juana Molina, and Mabe Fratti. The festival will also host a momentous return set from Atlas Sound, marking a particularly exciting booking for long-time indie rock aficionados.

For fans of cutting-edge electronic sounds, hyperpop, and club culture, the festival has curated an unmissable array of party-starters. Names like Arca, Snow Strippers, Shygirl, Kim Petras, and S.A.S.S.—the formidable collaborative force featuring Saoirse, Moxie, Peach, and Shanti Celeste—are locked in to keep the energy high. Meanwhile, leading contemporary singer-songwriters such as Weyes Blood, Julien Baker, Bleachers, and Greg Freeman will bring their introspective and emotionally resonant lyricism to the stage. Rock flag-bearers including Gilla Band, Friko, and Lip Critic will represent the grittier, heavier end of the spectrum, sitting alongside a fresh wave of rising insurgents like Angine de Poitrine, Underscores, @, Westside Cowboy, B0YG1RL, and Ear. To cap off the week in grand style, Sunday will feature an expansive, all-day takeover curated and headlined by Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon.

This expansive multi-headliner structure echoes the curatorial philosophy of Primavera Sound’s recent history, including the 2026 edition. Last year’s festival utilized a similar multi-headliner-per-night model, placing a handful of diverse artists at the absolute peak of each daily bill. Those coveted spots featured major draws such as Addison Rae, The Cure, The xx, and My Bloody Valentine.

However, live music festivals are always at the mercy of the elements, a reality that last year’s attendees know all too well. The 2026 edition of Primavera Sound faced unexpected drama on the Friday night of the festival when a severe rainstorm swept through the area. The inclement weather forced organizers to cancel several highly anticipated performances, including scheduled sets by Massive Attack and Doja Cat. In a twist of poetic justice and great relief for disappointed fans, Massive Attack are making their triumphant return to the Primavera Sound lineup this year, ready to reclaim their spot at the festival and deliver the performance that nature previously put on hold.
