UK Music Video Awards 2025 Announces 19th Annual Nominations Led by Charli xcx and Gener8ion

The UK Music Video Awards (UKMVAs) have officially unveiled the full list of nominations for their landmark 19th edition, setting the stage for a major celebration of the finest moving-image artistry in music both across the British Isles and around the globe. Scheduled to take place on November 4th at London’s iconic Camden Roundhouse venue, this year’s ceremony highlights an exceptionally diverse and creatively ambitious year for music videos, spanning groundbreaking conceptual narratives, high-octane choreography, and striking visual aesthetics.

Leading the charge in this year’s nominations is pop powerhouse Charli xcx, who commands an impressive nine nods. Her widespread recognition spans across a remarkably eclectic array of genres, demonstrating her versatility within the visual medium. Among her nominations are spots in Best Pop Video for "Camera," Best Dance/Electronic Video for "Residue" alongside A.G. Cook, and Best Rock Video for "Rock Music." Her dominant presence underscores a banner year for the artist, whose visual outputs have continually captured the cultural zeitgeist.

Not far behind in terms of sheer individual video impact are Yung Lean and Gener8ion, whose Romain Gavras-directed collaboration "Storm" has stolen the spotlight for earning the most nominations for a single video. Propelled by a choreographed dance sequence that became a massive viral sensation across social media platforms, "Storm" has secured recognition in key competitive categories, including Best Performance, Best Casting, and, fittingly, Best Choreography.

Meanwhile, Irish rap trio Kneecap have enjoyed a major breakthrough following the release of visual accompaniments surrounding their landmark album Fenian. The group’s ambitious 13-minute epic video for "Irish Goodbye," directed by Thomas James and featuring Kae Tempest, pulled in an impressive five nominations. Additionally, their collaboration with Paul Hartnoll on "Sayonara," directed by Finn Keenan, secured three nods, cementing the group’s strong foothold in the international alternative and electronic spaces.

Adding another layer of prestige to the evening, the coveted award for Best Styling will be presented in association with Dazed. The nominees competing for this distinguished fashion-forward prize include Rosalía featuring Björk and Yves Tumor for "Berghain," Adéla for "KGB," JADE for "Church," Charli xcx for "SS26," Tove Lo for "I’m Your Girl, Right?", and the collaborative track "Stateside" by PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson.

While anticipation continues to build across all category shortlists, organizers have confirmed that the nominees for the event’s most prestigious honor, Video of the Year, will remain tightly under wraps until the night of the ceremony itself.

Tickets for the upcoming awards ceremony at The Roundhouse on November 4 are currently available to the public. Below is the complete and comprehensive list of nominees across all categories for the 19th annual UK Music Video Awards.
